What is Blogging Reviews?

Blogging Reviews is a site managed by Stephen Paul Weber, and hosted courtesy of Amateur Writerz. Here you will find reviews of blogging services of all kinds. Reviews are all comprised of the same basic rating format. The reviews are listed in the sidebar to the left. All ratings are on a 10-point scale. The reviews found here are really objective summarry reviews. More journalistic reviews are also available.

There is an error in one of the reviews

It happens. I am only human and I make mistakes. Services also update their feature sets, which may make the reviews here outdated. If you find an error in any review, do not hesitate to contact me.

Half Points?

All ratings are done according to a specific format. If a service has a certain feature, they get a point, otherwise they do not. How then do some categories get half-points? When a service has a feature, but implements it oddly or incompletely it is given a half-point. For example, services get one point for syndication of comments. Blog.com syndicates comments via email to the blog owner, which is an incomplete implementation, so they get half a point in that area.

Is there a tentative review list?

Yes, there is a list of blogging services that have been reviewed / are pending review. Please do not ask for reviews of any services already on the list. I will get to them.

Web 2.0

In an attempt to be compatible with Web 2.0, every page on Blogging Reviews is comprised of valid XHTML 1.1 code, and the stylesheets are all valid CSS 2.0. Every review is also compatible with the hReview and RelTag microformat guidelines.
