There is customisable title and subtitle. There is no support for Amazon Associates content. There is no support for webrings or guestbooks. You cannot insert custom HTML or have custom links. There is support for a profile and a profile picture.

Support for basic fonts and colours, but no support for font face. No graphic emoticon support. You can edit the HTML code of the post, but if you choose this option then you cannot use any of the rich-text features. There is no support for a separate excerpt and body. You can insert images into posts, but there is no image hosting.

You can edit the title and category's of a post, as well as the HTML of the body (the rich text editor doesn't work on edit). You can delete a post, but there is no undelete feature. You can turn comments on and off before and after posting.

Each post may be placed in as many categories as you want. Categories may be renamed and deleted. There is a date archive feature, and it cannot be turned off. You can change the number of posts that show on the main page. There is no post search feature.

There is no support for inserting images into comments. The commmentor may leave their name and URL if they have a LiveJournal account, otherwise they can only leave their URL. Their information is only stored if they have a LiveJournal account. A LiveJournal account can be made required.

An account is not required to comment. There is no SPAM protection, and the blog owner cannot edit comments. The blog owner can delete comments, but cannot block users. The post can be seen while commenting. There is no option for commentors to rate the post.

There is no photo album support on LiveJournal.

Public syndication on LiveJournal takes both RSS 2.0 and Atom 0.3. Both feeds are well-formed. Posts are syndicated in their entirety. Comments can only be syndicated via Email to the blog owner.

The page font cannot be changed except with the theme. The date format cannot be changed. There is no support for custom borders or custom CSS.
